Trysta Gorsuch, affectionately known as “Trys,” joined our Golden Life AFC family on November 9th, 2021. With a compassionate heart and a dedication to her work, Trysta has brought over 20 years of direct care experience to our team. Throughout her career, she has coached individuals with barriers to employment, created a successful Community Living Support Program, managed an AFC home, and coordinated non-emergency transportation services. Trysta’s diverse background showcases her commitment to making a difference in the lives of those she serves.

At Golden Life, Trysta cherishes the relationships she builds with staff, residents, and their families. Her extensive knowledge and real-world experience have been invaluable in providing the best care for our community. Though she doesn’t have a formal college education, Trysta’s hands-on learning and ongoing training have shaped her into a highly skilled professional.

Outside of work, Trysta enjoys reading, hunting, and spending quality time with her loved ones. Her family includes her husband, Brent, their children, Brent Michael, Heather, and Isaac, and their grandchildren, Micaiah and Ashton. Of course, we can’t forget their furry companion, Smokey!

In a tweet, Trysta would describe herself as “passionate, hardworking, and dedicated. A natural problem solver who loves innovative ideas and prioritizes the happiness of those in her care.”

When she was ten, Trysta already knew she wanted to care for others. Her advice to someone ten years younger is to remember that there’s no shortcut for hard work and that dedication pays off in the long run. Born in Albion, Michigan, and raised in Concord, Trysta’s life has been filled with countless happy moments, from marrying her husband of 20 years to witnessing her children and grandchildren grow.

Trysta’s compassionate nature and wealth of experience make her an invaluable member of the Golden Life family, and we are grateful to have her on our team.
