Director of personnel
Our fabulous Director of Personnel, JoAnne Wright, is a seasoned health care professional with compassion for every resident. Her history in health care started just after graduating high school, when she became a CNA and worked at Crouse Community Center in Morrisville, NY.
Over the years, her husband’s position in the military led to several more health care jobs throughout Tennessee and Kentucky, including opening a new veteran’s home and working in memory care. She looks back on her career with pride, as every position and opportunity taught her important life and professional skills that apply to her work today.
Outside of work, JoAnne lives with her husband of ten years, Will, and their two dogs. She’s a fur mom to a playful Golden Retriever named Charlie and a handsome German Shepherd, Koda. She enjoys spending time with friends, family, and her four-legged friends, as well as wine tasting, basking by the lake in the summer, shopping, hiking, and sometimes even glamping.
While 10-year old JoAnne thought she would end up as a kindergarten teacher, current JoAnne is deeply fulfilled by her health and care career. Her favorite part about working at Golden Life AFC is being on-location and truly getting to know the residents and their families. She strives to always provide the best care possible, and finds that by connecting with each resident, she can tap into what they need for a comfortable home environment.
JoAnne goes above and beyond to care for her staff and residents, but also invests a lot of time and energy into her credentials. She is a Certified Nursing Assistant, has taken medical billing and coding classes, and continues to take memory care training. It’s no wonder she’s even won Employee of the Year awards in past positions
